Danijel G. knows ROFA AG from many perspectives. His story is a prime example of how a curious apprentice can become a dedicated trainer and mentor. Today, he passes on his experiences and values to the next generation, shaping the company’s future for the long term.

From Trainee to Mentor: A Role Model’s Journey

Danijel began his career at ROFA in 2004 with an apprenticeship as an industrial mechanic specializing in machine and system technology – a field that fascinated him from the start. “I was captivated by the variety of machines and the hands-on work,” Danijel recalls. After completing his apprenticeship, he gained experience as a CNC operator before deciding on a two-year course to become a mechanical engineering technician. Armed with fresh insights, he returned to ROFA as a designer.

But his journey didn’t end there: after two years in the design department, Danijel took on the responsibility in 2017 as the trainer for technical product designers. “Being a trainer is close to my heart. I know how important it is to have a good start in your career—and how much guidance from experienced colleagues can help along the way.”

Demanding and Trust-Based Training

Danijel is convinced that training means far more than just teaching technical skills. “For me, it’s about supporting young people individually, giving them responsibility, and encouraging them to bring their own ideas.”

He values practical, hands-on training in which apprentices develop not only technical basics, but also teamwork, initiative, and problem-solving skills. “I want them to learn how to face challenges and grow from them—both professionally and personally.”

He is especially proud that three of his apprentices received the Bavarian State Prize – a testament to the high quality and dedication he brings to training.

Team Spirit as the Key to Success

For Danijel, teamwork is the foundation for overcoming challenges and achieving goals. He appreciates the open, collaborative atmosphere at ROFA and the opportunity to get actively involved.

“Everyone here has the chance to take on responsibility and keep developing.” His advice for young people about to enter the workforce is clear: “Be brave, try new things, and take advantage of the opportunities you’re given.”
