„You never stop learning,
no matter where you are.“
Manuela V., electronics technician for industrial engineering at ROFA, pursued her path into the skilled trades with determination and passion. After graduating from school, it was clear that an office job was out of the question for her. Through internships and a well-founded education at ROFA, she found her dream job in a dynamic, young team.

"I didn’t want an office job – craftsmanship was my goal."
After leaving school with a secondary school leaving certificate, it was clear to me: an office job was not an option. Even in school, I opted for the technical department because I wanted to work in a hands-on field. An aptitude test confirmed that my strengths truly lie in the technical field, which reassured me that I was on the right path.
After a few internships in the electronics sector, including one at ROFA in Kolbermoor where I got my first glimpse of the profession “Electronics Technician for Industrial Engineering,” I decided to pursue this career.
"At ROFA, I knew exactly what to expect."
"The training was intense, but I learned a lot."

"I am the only woman – and that’s not an issue."
In my department, I’m the only woman and I was also the only one in my vocational school. But for me, that’s not a problem. Of course, you have some experiences with male colleague, simply because they think differently. But that also makes it exiting and I’ve only had positive experiences so far.
I think it’s a sad fact that women are still underrepresented in STEM professions. Women should have more confidence in themselves. Often, the idea of it is scarier than the reality, and a female touch would certainly benefit technical professions.
